My Breakfast

So this was my breakfast this morning. I was having a hard time deciding what to make, and then I thought I could just throw some stuff together and throw it in the oven. I've NEVER been one to follow a recipe or to stick to a recipe. The food I make is always changing, even something that I've been making for years, I'll one day decide to just change it a little... of course this makes it very difficult to share "recipes" with anyone, because I don't know exactly how much I changed it, and I also NEVER measure. Well, I measure sometimes, but not often... just on things that are important, like yeast, for example.
Anyway, breakfast this morning... I found my 10 by 5 inch glass pan, sprayed it with some Pam and took the following ingredients and put in it: two ends of bread(usually thrown away), one grated potato, half a grated zucchini, one slice of cooked bacon(from a few days ago), a couple scallions, and fresh basil leaf, salt and pepper. Then I took 5 eggs and some milk(again, I didn't measure), whisked that together, then poured that over what I had put in the pan, and sprinkled a big handful of cheese over the top. Put it in the oven for about a half an hour at 375 degrees. And yummy. :) Then I decided to take some leftover fruit: blueberries, apple/pear(a new fruit at Costco), and a banana... and poured blackberry yogurt over it.
What a great breakfast, if I may say so myself. :)

Garage Sale Treasure

A couple years back, my good friend Jill wanted a Harvey Seat Belt Purse. So, for her birthday I helped her husband buy one off of Ebay for $80. I had it shipped to my house so I could wrap it for him to give to her. The day came that it was delivered on my door step, I opened it, and I was tempted to keep it for myself. I thought it was SO cute... but it was a little out of my price range.

So, this last weekend my family and I went out garage sailing, something we do every Saturday morning. We stopped at a garage sale, and I saw a few things that caught my eye. I saw some cute old shutters, a cute antique pitcher, a picture frame... and then I saw it A SEAT BELT PURSE!!! So cute, in brown and pink... and the best part was that it was $10 and brand new!! So, here it is a $10 treasure - a brand new Harvey seat belt purse.

Becoming a Blogger

So, I have a myspace account, to keep in touch with old and new friends. I've written a few blog posts on there, but decided to get more into writing. And I thought this would be more fun then myspace... where not a lot of people care about what I have to say anyway. :)

I hope to use this as a place to write down more thoughts... thoughts of staying at home everyday with my THREE beautiful daughters, and the busy days of a housewife.

Well, here's to more to come. :)
